What happens when you run out of Verizon data?
Once you opt in, you’ll automatically go into Safety Mode any month you run out of data.
You won’t incur overages unless you disable Safety Mode.

What happens if you go over data on Verizon prepaid?
If you are on a $45/2GB or $60/5GB plan, Always-On Data is included at no extra charge. If you hit your data limit, you’ll automatically be throttled down to 128Kbps speeds for the rest of your billing period, but no overages or $5 turn-on fees are involved.
Can you still text when you run out of data?
Sending a text message does not use Mobile Data, instead it just uses your cell network or mobile phone company signal. You don’t need to disable 3G/4G/mobile data as it’s turned off as standard. You can still send messages regardless of whether you have Mobile Data on or off.
How much data do you get with Verizon prepaid?
Verizon’s $30 prepaid plan comes with unlimited talk and text and a modest data allotment of 6GB. If you largely use your device to talk and text, this plan may fit the bill.
